Melissa Kopple, M.S., L.Ac. Dipl. NCCAOM

Melissa J. Kopple M.S., L.Ac. Dipl. NCCAOM received a B.F.A from NYU in 1990 and her Masters from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 1999. She was inspired to learn this ancient medicine after receiving acupuncture treatments for her once chronic and debilitating neck pain. Her formal education at Tri-State College gave her an extensive background in Japanese acupuncture from the world’s most notable Japanese acupuncture scholar Kiiko Matsumoto along with Trigger Point Acupuncture which was originated by the founder of her college Dr. Mark Seem. These combined protocols of acupuncture therapy have influenced her treatment style greatly and offer her the ability to treat a wide range of acute and chronic disorders. Melissa’s 15 years of clinical experience ranges from women’s health disorders to sports injury medicine and injury prevention. She has worked in many multi-disciplinary settings over the years and values an integrated approach between acupuncture therapy and allopathic medicine. Patient’s under her care can expect to receive a thorough evaluation and a treatment plan that will focus on eliminating the causative factor of a specific disease or illness along with symptom relief. Additionally, she offers expert holistic health guidance with a focus on advising her patient’s on the importance of whole food nutrition and when needed western herbs and supplements. Melissa seeks to empower her patient’s with the strategies and tools to achieve lifelong vitality and wellness. After years of owning a thriving practice in NYC, NY Melissa fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and made the decision to relocate to the great state of Oregon. Melissa and her daughter Josie consider Oregon to be home. When not treating patients she can be found hiking the many beautiful PNW trails or at track meets supporting her daughter who runs on Nike’s sponsored youth team.
